What was your biggest tv cliffhanger cancellation complaint?

I'm sure there are 100's of posts on this, most likely this time every year, but I didn't see one. So I'll ask again.

A few that really annoyed me were;
Forever Knight
V.R. 5
V (both of them)

It's so just so frustrating.

reply

the remakes of V...uugghh was mad.

reply

Frustration stinks, but there are times when I can change the paradigm. For example, I recently found that Streampix has both seasons of the most recent V, and i’ve been binging, because they brought Diana back!, and I like Jane Badler; but I conclude that it doesn’t end in a cliffhanger. The Visitors conquered us.

reply

I just thought of another one that bothered me when I was a kid. Otherworld (1985). Only 8 episodes. I don't recall if it was any good or not, but I always wondered if they got home.

reply

I was hooked on that show, and on Jonna Lee.

reply

I remember watching the one where they thought she was a princess and then I thought that I had just missed the next one. I didn't know that it was it at the time. One of my first real tv disappointments.

reply

Those disappointments hurt more back then, not only because we were children, but because broadcast TV then was actually good, so the contrast between the good experiences and the bad experiences was more stark.

Not a cancellation or a cliffhanger, but a most unwelcome and common experience back in the old days: the announcement, “We now join our regularly-scheduled show, already in progress.” WHY did we wait so long to created On Demand?!

Sopranos

Do you know if Lori Singer (V. R. 5, and I salute your appropriate spacing between the abbreviation letters and the numeral) is related to Marc Singer (Beastmaster, the V miniseries and longform series)? I like to think that they are.

You seem too young to recall Forever Knight. It was part of the CBS Crimetime After Primetime lineup, along with Silk Stalkings, and other titles that have escaped my recollection. Vampire detective is pretty cool.

reply

They are siblings.

I appreciate you thinking I am young, although online I hope it's not insulting. I remember Silk Stalkings as I think it replaced the Friday the 13th tv series. (At least in my memories).

reply

Young is a state of mind, and of heart. And thanks for your confirmation of the bond between Lori and Marc. They sure do look a lot alike.

No,but it end very suddenly

Twin peaks - Finally got a resolution to the originals cliffhanger only to be left with another one.
Nowhere man - Cool sci fi/conspiracy show with a cliffhanger reveal that left you wanting more.

Invasion

It was on after Lost for one season.

Typical fare, Aliens take over earth and people.
I thought it was done very well though.

The last scene was humans being led into a giant warehouse to "save" them only to see the last shot
of the other end of the warehouse.
The one where they were being led to their death instead of salvation.

That really sucked.
