Movies or series you’ve bailed out on❓

By bailed out on, I mean you just couldn't continue watching it for whatever reason. There are many different reasons, of course, all personal.

I just gave up on Whitechapel (2009-2013) that was rated 8/10. I don’t like the jumpy style – from here to there, and there – just bing, bing, bing. It drives me crazy when I can’t really see what this or that was. Much of the time the lighting was so dark I couldn’t really determine what was happening. I get that they want to set a dark, sinister mood, but sometimes it goes too far – certainly not the only show to do it.

Gambit (2012) I grabbed this DVD from my library the last time I was there. I like Colin Firth and Alan Rickman, so why not? I didn’t know about its rather mediocre rating of 5.7/10 before I chose it. I watched about 20 minutes before chucking it back in its case to go back. Too stupid for my taste, even with Firth and Rickman.

The Mist is the worst series I have seen. At least the first two episodes and the reviews indicate the rest aren't any better.

I have a rocket in my pocket

reply

Ya, that was pretty bad. While we're at it, how about The Dome?

reply

I watched the first season of Under the Dome but i stopped caring after that

The Leftovers S1 was enjoyable too but it didnt seem to be going anywhere so i quit

reply

I stuck it out with Under The Dome because the first season was incredible, but I was glad it ended when it did, it was finished.

reply

I usually don't finish movies I find boring halfway into it. These are my recently watched-but-not-finished ones...

Ant-Man (2015)
Black Mass (2015)
San Andreas (2015)
Ghostbusters (2016)
Kubo and the Two Strings (2016)
The Jungle Book (2016)
The Nice Guys (2016)
The BFG (2016)
Kong: Skull Island (2017)
The Mummy (2017)
Beauty and the Beast (2017)
The Disaster Artist (2017)
Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017)

I have never walked out of a movie theater though because I'm very picky about the movies I watch on the big screen.

reply

Yes, I've learned to be more discerning. Life is too short to waste time on something that bores you. I'm fine with ditching a movie or series that much of the audience thinks is great. If I don't like it, I'm done, regardless of whether it's highly-rated or a blockbuster. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has high ratings and is very popular, but I thought it was awful. Why would I want to watch a bunch of vulgar and annoying characters? No thanks!

reply

Every single "superhero" movie

reply

Why do you keep watching them then?

I have a rocket in my pocket

reply

I don't

reply

So you didnt really answer the question properly , but I am sooo with you on superhero movies.
The are a cancer on the modern movie industry , draining resources, using up the actors and scriptwriters etc.
They should be banned!

reply

Because they have gypsies in them. Croft LOVES gypsies!

Sucesslon. Two eps in. My God! what twaddle!

Homeland. I lasted 1 1/2 eps before I knew The Affair line was going to make me hurl.

Lost

Breaking Bad. I know, I’ve been told. I’ve made 5 eps twice and just bailed. Kind of depressing.

Westworld. Season 2 did not grab me. Stuck it on for 3 eps but ended up playing Toon Blast and lost track of it.

The Tunnel S3 on PBS. I liked this bilingual show with Stephane Dillane working with Fleur Delacroix but then the plot just got too darn weird.

reply

I never even tried Breaking Bad. The premise was a complete turn-off to me.

reply

The first season of Breaking Bad was kind of novel. Mr. Wizard as a meth manufacturer. I didn't continue after that, just wasn't interested.

Not even the entire first season is worth it, actually. You probably went as far as I'd recommend.

reply

The Godfather. Tried it a couple of times, just cant stay awake.

reply

My friend and I bailed out on the film "1776" at New York City's Radio City Music Hall. We both walked out in the middle of this film, because it was boring as hell.

reply

GOT.

Big fan untill a certain someone got his certain something cut off. That was it for me.

reply

Alright...wasn't going to post but as I'm the first...what he hell!

STAR WARS

after a forty year love affair she opted to blow a stranger in the parking lot of the club...what a whore she has become😂👍...wait...😡👎

reply

I don't get it

reply

In the analogy I have assigned a female identity to star wars (the franchise) I said it was a forty year love affair...which illustrates the fact that the franchise has been something I've loved literally for four decades.

In December of 2017...the last Jedi was released. It was bad! So bad that I compared the foul experience it was for me as a lover of forty years prefoming fellatio on a stranger...also very bad.

I then concluded by calling her (star wars) a whore. This is because myself and millions of fans see the current approach disney is taking with star wars to be similar to the way a pimp showcases his merchandise.😉👍

reply

So after 40 years you are sick of Star Wars ??

reply

Lets just say that if the analogy was fact....I would already have grudge fucked her sister and best friend...taken pictures. ..and posted them on her moms Facebook page😮

The last Jedi brought the dromedary to its knees.
