Favorite low budget film?

Do you have a favorite low budget film?

reply

spaghettiman is a deeply goofy superhero spoof about an unmotivated nobody who gets superpowers through a microwave accident. not sure what the budget was, but if it reached 5 figures, they probably paid too much. it was good fun, regardless.

a ghost story was my 2nd favourite film of 2017. i believe it had a budget of about 100k.

absentia is one of my favourite horror films of the decade so far. wiki says it cost $70k.

A Ghost Story, was, for me, the best movie of 2017.

it's right up there for me. i rated florida project a little more highly, but ghost story remained stuck in my head the day i saw it, and refuses to leave, & i love it when movies have that kind of effect on me.

in fact, i watched it two days in a row - streaming it on hoopla a day after i caught it in the theatre - just because i wanted to spend more time in its world.
