Should schools ban things like mothers day/fathers day? Offensive?

NC is right. 'Family'? Seriously? That word offends people?

I mean, 'family' has such a wider meaning these days in any case. People speak of their 'family' without necessarily referring to their blood relatives. Some people refer to their close colleagues and network of friends as 'family'.

Then again, since some of us are unemployed and some of us are friendless, maybe we should ban the world completely...[*eyeroll*]

Honestly, I'm fed-up with Google's attempts to brainwash people. I wish there was a decent rival search engine.

The irony is that Google is using its power supposedly for good, in order to make us a more liberal and progressive society, whilst ignoring the fact that it only has that power via a monopoly and because it doesn't pay its fair share of tax, which are two of the least progressive business practices one can imagine.

But hopefully, we're now seeing the rise of the populists, left and right-wing, like Bernie Sanders, who will challenge the neoliberal consensus, and ensure that we're not simply focused on cultural and social justice, but also socioeconomic justice.

Yeah and also two birds with one stone. Why have two different days when we can just celebrate everyone at once?
