Animals you would not have the heart to eat no matter how much you starved

Dogs.

reply

Dogs and cats, but not because I particularly like them. They are common everywhere and I wouldn't want them to get angry at me for eating one of their kind....

reply

That is good thinking XD

reply

Primates.

reply

Oh yeah, those too. They're too similar to humans.

reply

I agree. Also parrots because they can talk.

reply

"Polly want a cracker?"

reply

Same. Its unfortunate that they are eaten though in parts of africa. They call it bushmeat.

reply

I hate eating mammals at all..but yeah, I'd say dogs and cats..horses, rabbits, lamb, veal, primates, elephant...
I guess most..

reply

Dogs, Cats, Horses, Budgies, Parrots, Bears, Badgers, Guinea pigs, Sloths, Ant eaters.

reply

I would like to think that I would never eat a dog or a cat, but I've never been starving so I really don't know. I don't think I'm capable of killing my own pet, but if someone offered me some...I really don't know.

reply

I can admit i haven't really starved either, maybe all morals just fly out the window at some point, hard to say.

reply

It's really difficult to determine what we will do to stay alive when it really comes to it. I'm pretty sure that the Uruguayan rugby team that crashed in the Andes never thought they would be cannibals, so who knows what I would do?

reply

To be fair they were already dead. They didn't have to kill anyone..

reply

I know that, but they still ate them.

reply

Well, I guess the point is that for me it would matter.
I'd eat anything already dead if I was starving...even a person.
I would not kill a person to eat if I was starving.

reply

No, I wouldn't kill a person either. I don't even know if I would eat a dead one.

reply

Didn't they agree to eat each other before that though? I could probably eat any animal if i had it's permission, i was thinking more in the lines of sacrificing something living that wasn't up to becoming lunch.

reply

I thought that they ate the ones that died in the crash and then agreed that if they died they would be eaten. I might be confusing the movie Alive with a documentary I watched on it though.

The only reason I brought it up was that I would ever eat a human, I just meant that sometimes we don't know what we will be capable of when we are fighting for our lives.

reply

I might be wrong too. Haven't seen the movie in ages. I don't think you can be sure of how you would behave in any situation until you was in it for real. Hopefully you never have to find out either.

reply

Agreed. I hope that is something we never need to know about ourselves.

reply

Yeah, it's scary thinking what sort of unknown side that might be hiding in us all.

reply

None.

Every thing is on the table, the dinner table.
