What's your favorite Christmas movie?

Die Hard - Bruce Willis and Alan Rickman

reply

Bad Santa!

reply

Yep another of my favorites.

reply

Die Hard 2

reply

I forgot about that. Yeah, the teddy bear in the back seat of the limo.
Good one.

reply

The teddy bear is in Die Hard I

reply

Damn, you're right. He got his car towed in the snow in 2. Called the airport "police chief" a fatass or some such in his own office. Boy, PC culture wouldn't let us get away with that today lol!

reply

Carmine Lorenzo, He was the big fish that ran it.

reply

Yeah, when your pond only spans a few acres I guess it's not hard to be a big fish, huh?

I haven't thought of that movie in years. It was good, wasn't it? I'll have to look it up again.

reply

[deleted]

Yeah I really enjoyed that one too. Very funny. Arnold proved he had comedy chops.

reply

The Grinch (2000).

reply

That's the one with Jim Carrey, right? I used to be a big fan of his. Like so many others, as he's gotten older he's become alot less pleasant. Oh well. The movie was good.

reply

He was a different man in those days.

reply

"Hollywood" seems to ruin so many apparently otherwise decent entertainers.

reply

That's for sure. It's harder to watch with the child stars :(.

reply

They do suffer. Most of them, anyway.

reply

Not really Christmas film I guess but the first Lethal Weapon film.

reply

Yeah I think it was Christmas time, wasn't it? Is that the one where Danny Glover's character gets half his house destroyed?

reply

It's the one that finishes with the fight on the lawn of his house, can't recall if a car goes through his house as well. It is possible. A lot of shit happened to Danny's house actually throughout the series. Can't remember which film it was where he is on the toilet and finds he is sitting on a bomb that also results in his bathroom being blown up.

reply

Yep. Might have to go check 'em out again. I remember Jet Li got his U.S. debut in 4. He was a good badguy.

reply

The Nightmare Before Christmas!!!

reply

I've never seen it :-(
I've heard about it. Tim Burton's stuff, right? Didn't it win some awards or at least get nominations?

reply

Yes. It's awesome! :)

reply

Cool. I'll be sure to check it out the next chance I get. I passed it up before because I thought maybe it was juvenile, gloomy, etc.

reply

I think I posted this before but my favorite Christmas movies are:
A Christmas Story
A Charlie Brown Christmas

I see them ever year around Christmas.

reply

Haven't seen 'em in forever. After a dozen times or so I get kinda burned out y'know? I do miss Snoopy and the gang, tho. Especially Snoop's lil bird buddy ;) What was his name?

reply

Christmas Vacation easily.

I've also grown very fond of "The Family Man" with Nicholas Cage in the last 5 years.

reply

The Nick Cage movie that's sort of a " what if"? Wakes up one day married with kids? Can't remember much more. It's a Christmas movie, huh? I've seen it but it's been a real long time ago.

reply

Yes, that's the one.

It's grown on me. It has it's flaws and it's been copied or plagiarized (A Family For Christmas). It's definitely one of my favorites.
