Shirts with sayings on them: yes or no?

It's a no from me. No one cares if you think you're the "world's best dad" or "phenomenally Latina" or that "the future is female".

MY DAUGHTER AND I BOTH HAVE T SHIRT COLLECTIONS..WE DONT SO SAYINGS THOUGH...WE COLLECT MOVIE SHIRTS,BAND SHIRTS,POP CULTURE.

reply

Proud deplorable ;-)

reply

Do you have that one or are you adding to my list?

reply

I had it made. There's a mom and pop type place here that will make almost anything you want. I find that most of the cool shirts and hats I want are here, mostly but I want them to be nicer.

reply

SHOULDNT IT READ "PROUDLY DEPLORABLE"?

reply

No.

reply

As in - I. am. a. "proud deplorable".
In the same spirit as she tried to insult us. As a noun.

reply

Hunh. I just admitted she did something right.

On a side note (and to completely detract from Lock-er-up-Hilly) - this guest on Fox and Friends, Priscilla DeStephano, is just gorgeous ;) I mean "Wow"!
For me, anyway...

So yesterday. I have a collection of them, but I never wear them.

😎

I think they can be very useful... you see somebody with a t-shirt saying 'world's best dad' or 'the future is female', you know you can fully dismiss those people, and you don't even need to speak with them!!

Those t-shirts are actually time-savers.

reply

What's wrong with "world's best dad"?

reply

Mendelbaum, Mendelbaum, Mendelbaum!

reply

Good point.

reply

I once had a t-shirt made that bore the words "Hell Is A Summer Festival"

I have many tee shirts with sayings on them:

Springfield Armory
Camp Arawak
The Cure
Colt
Beggars Banquet
Los polos Hermanos
Reagan Bush 84’
Jaws
Siouxsie and the Banshees
The Thing

Many more I just can’t think of them now. :)

reply

Good list, I'd totally rock that Reagan shirt👍
I have a 'Los Polos Hermanos' BBQ apron, It came with my BB blue ray set:)

reply

Those aren't really sayings. Nothing wrong with those.

reply

I don't mind them. Sometimes they can be funny or cute.

reply

Once you hit age 40 it's time to retire shirts with sayings on them.

reply

Sounds like something that belongs on a t-shirt.

reply

Ha! 😀

reply

Hey man, some people over 40 still look good in a t-shirt. 😀

reply

Of course. I'm 60 and wear t-shirts. But plain, single color. Typically black or brown. No message!

reply

I like earth colors myself too. 👍

Other than my favorite NFL team and college sweats, I don't have anything that has printing on it, but I did recently see one that I would like to wear to a mandatory family New Years Eve party.

"Sorry I'm Late - I Really Didn't Want To Come."
