Sometimes or just other recurring themes without even trying. Watched Romance of Rosy Ridge the other night which has the US Civil War as a theme, then watched Woman in Hiding which is a Film Noir. In the opening scene of Woman in Hiding you have men firing a civil war era cannon. Weird connections like that in films that aren't related.

Everytime I watch a Jackie Chan movie, I get the urge to watch all Jackie Chan's OLD movies.

Oops. I thought you were asking the female members a personal hygiene question.

THAT WAS MY FIRST THOUGHT!

So do I. I did a marathon once of Jim Carrey's filmography. I had some pleasant and unpleasant surprises. :D I also did this when I had a crush on an actress.

Liar, Liar and Yes Man ... hilarious

Once Bitten (1985) - great!
Copper Mountain (1983) - terrible!

reply

No ... especially not Nicholas Cage or Liam Neeson ... God I hate those two.
Although, Face Off was pretty hilarious.

This used to be a big thing with me back in vhs rental days. That's kind of how I would explore movies. I'd find a new actor I liked and then i'd seek out everything they did. And while doing so, find a co-star I liked in one of them films and so-on. So now when i'm feeling nostalgic, i'll kind of relive those movie marathons from back in the day.

Not really, if it happens it’s accidental. I definitely collect movies of actors I like, but I prefer a break between watching them. I’d be more likely to have stages of watching the films of a certain director. If it’s someone who has frequent collaborators you do notice the same actors I guess.

reply

Absolutely. I think it happens with directors and themes for me too. Not too long ago I went on a disaster movie binge and watched Dante's Peak, Volcano, The Day After Tomorrow, and 2012. They got worse as it went on.
