I love Spielberg
Everyone has been trashing his 'sentimentality' for 25 years now...I'm not even clear on what this even means

The guy is fantastic and inventive and he's directed and produced some all time great movies

I had a professor in college who claimed that Spielberg 'comes at a subject from a specific direction...'
When I pressed her on her statement she clammed up and had no further conversation to make

I'm not onboard with the Spielberg disdain in the least
