Totally False:
Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle did not rape or kill her. Virginia Rapp died as a result of a botched abortion. He found her lying on a bed at a party he was attending. He tried to help her. He was tried three times due to mistrials. at the end of the third trial the jury not only found him not guilty but read a statement that they believed him innocent and apologized to him on behalf of the legal system for putting him through the ordeal.
Didn't help though. His reputation was ruined.
Amazing how even today people believe the false accusation to be "fact".
