I woke up this morning and my eye was on fire. Thought I had stuck my thumb in it or something. Reminded me vaguely of a Billy Joel song. I was stumbling around, couldn't see, lots of pain.
Went to the hospital, no one wanted to touch me. Even with gloves on they spent minimal time in the room. Ah well.
Got some meds and I feel better.
Any of you guys had this? I'm told it's quite common.
My pinkeye seems to be clearing up nicely. Eyes are still a little red but the antibiotic is working well apparently. Pain killers are wonderful as always, so no trouble there.
Thanks again everyone for your well wishes. I'm a believer in concentrated and focused thought so I'm certain it helped. Some folks call it prayers. I've heard of studies that seem to show a positive impact when it's been "applied".
Or I could just be spinning on painkillers lol!
I know we disagree in politics but I don't wish pinkeye on anyone. I had pinkeye a few years ago and it was very painful. I hope you feel better.

I've been doing my best to change the way I talk to folks in politics. All the insults back and forth is not right. There's no reason we should have to be hateful about it.

Yeah the doc said it's just like any other bacterial infection, takes around a week to run its course. Keep taking the antibiotic till it's gone. Still haven't been able to figure out where I got it.

Not work, I've been disabled for 12 years as of a week ago. I gave my neighbor a hug 4 days ago (the only person I've touched in weeks - depressing now that I think about it...) and she's not been sick. I considered that she might be a carrier but she doesn't think she's been around anyone with it and her family hasn't gotten it.
Ah Hell, who knows.
On a side note - I've decided to try to persuade our peers to treat each other with more respect concerning the politics board.
It's probably a tough job but I'm starting with myself. I may have gotten thru to UV and I mentioned it to um, robo... robocat?
Anyway, I realized after my own crash and burn that the way we treat each other there could stand improvement.

Hello I live on a farm an I can tell you that pink eye can be bad it is very contacting so what ever you touch you can spread it go to doc an get meds an all will be fine . I caught it from a cow I dctored that has pink eye
Huh I didn't know it could be interspecies. I thought maybe I had gouged my eyeball in my sleep. Much better now. If I don't relapse I'm good ;)
