I don't think they do. They sneak out of the woods, take a dump, look around to see if anyone is nearby, and then nonchalantly saunter back to the woods. It's because they don't want to have to pick up the poop with a bag on their hands. It's kinda like what some dog owners do.

It's not right, and whenever I see it happen, I contact the Bear Police right away!
