Anyone ever own a toothbrush?

Electric, manual, or none?

reply

I assume this is a joke thread??? GD can be very confusing at times!

reply

It was a joke. Just a play on other threads. But if anyone wanted to answer seriously, that's fine by me 👍

As for me, I've got a battery operated spin brush, I forget the brand. Got it because a friend told me it makes your teeth feel as clean and smooth as when you've had your teeth cleaned. Sounded good to me so ...

Not quite as good as if they're cleaned in a dental office, but pretty good.

Other than that, I have no toothbrush and can't judge anyone else who doesn't. Unless they want to complain about their teeth falling out. Then, well, some empathy is probably a good idea.

reply

I've got an Oral B electric spinbrush.👍

reply

I think that's what I've got. Either an Oral B or an Arm & Hammer. Either way, spin brush and battery powered.

reply

Same here, but not sure of the brand. I have a couple "analog" toothbrushes, too. My dentist gives me a new one at every checkup.

reply

I have a manual toothbrush that gets replaced every 3 months.
I also have an Oral-B electric.
I always have a box of interdental brushes.
I use a daily teeth whitening kit.
Finally, I own a home dentistry kit with all the pointy and scrapey instruments that the dentists use.

No filings and no dental problems - I aim to keep it that way.

reply

How do you know it needs to be replaced every 3 months? I've got one of them there too, or close enough to it. Battery operated, if that counts as electric.

I DON'T TRUST "THEM" WHEN "THEY" SAY WE NEED TO REPLACE THEM EVERY 3 MONTHS! "THEY" ONLY WANT TO MAKE AS MUCH BANK AS THEY CAN WHILST FOOLING US'N!

I've got interdental brushes and floss. Use the interdentals, not so much the floss. No whitening stuff except the usual TJ's paste, used to have several scrapy pointy tools but they reside somewhere in the wide and varied storage spaces [sad face]

reply

Hey Cat, hope you’re settling in ok. I’ve set up a 3 monthly notification to remind me to throw my toothbrush away (sad but true). I buy them in packs of 12, so I never run out.

reply

Hey AndyK, settling in fine, thanks. It'll likely take another week, but that's fine. A pack of 12, or even 6, is good, because what if they stop making that model? Which we all know is likely to happen. It's only the heads I need replacing, but in the end it's all the same thing.

reply

I borrowed one once.
