I just saw Terminator 3 a few weeks ago and didn't pick up on that.

reply

Technically, the year that Terminator 3 took place isn't explicitly mentioned in the movie itself, but some material outside of the movie acknowledges that piece of lore.

2012 (2009) takes place in, well, 2012.

That's a good one. Not the movie but the example.

I actually like the movie. It was all right. I'm a sucker for Christian mythology movies.

reply

I'm a Schwarzenegger fan so it's at least entertaining for me.

Ever seen this one?

A post-Rapture story. I'm not into that sort of story myself, but I stumbled across it one night and ended up watching it. What caught my attention was that one of the actors, David A. R. White, is a dead ringer for a guy I went to college with; my first reaction was "when did Jeff get into acting?" Anyway, a pretty decent film. It didn't go for the cheap shots I expected it to.

The reviews sound bad. I'm not gonna watch it. I like Christian mythology movies, not Christian movies. That looks like a Christian movie masquerading as somekind of sci-fi.

2012, by Roland Emmerich, released in 2009

EDIT I just saw that somebody else already mentioned it.

It's been a while since I've seen it. I should definitely rewatch it.

The Jacket takes place in both 2005 and 1993, but part of the plot involes Adrian Brody having visions in 2007.

Good forgotten movie as well.

reply

I was just about to say that it was a forgotten movie.
