Everybody should stop saying these things:
"I could care less"
"It's besides the point"
"Nucular"
Any others?
"I could care less"
"It's besides the point"
"Nucular"
Any others?
I don't like the sound of "presumably." I prefer "presumedly" but even here my spell check rejects the latter.
I figure if the past tense of Presume is presumed, then presumedly would follow.
But I haven't looked into why it's pronounced and spelled differently yet.

The word "moot" is almost never used correctly. That one makes me nuts.

I wish there was a book of Joey-isms. He had life all figured out.
shareStop asking your kids "Who do you think you are?" There's literally no acceptable response to that question:
* silence is met with "Answer me when I ask you a question!"
* your kid's name is met with "So you're a wise ass now?"
* and "nobody" is unacceptable because what does it say about your kid's self worth?
To be fair, that's a famously rhetorical question. No one expects their kid to answer that.
shareDear Mr. Vernon. We accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole Saturday in detention for whatever it was we did wrong. What we did was wrong, but we think you’re crazy to make us to write an essay telling you who we think we are. What do you care? You see us as you want to see us: in the simplest terms, the most convenient definitions. You see us as a Brain, an Athlete, a Basketcase, Princess, and a Criminal. Correct? That’s the way we saw each other at 7 o’clock this morning. We were brainwashed.
