First music you owned…

Was it a cassette, record, CD, 8-track or what type? And who was it?

Mine was Madonna ‘True Blue’ on cassette. 😎😂

reply

Mine was the Britney Spears cassette (Baby one more time). My mom bought it for me in 1999.

The Doors

A greatest hits compilation. It was on a cassette tape made by the guy sitting next to me. He also added the song, "The Soft Parade" since there was room.

Had some homemade cassettes of the doors too before I could afford to buy my own. Love ‘The Soft Parade’, has to be one of my fave songs by them

I think it was on my 11th or 12th birthday when I was given a 45 record of Lou Christie.

The B-side was Crying in the Streets.

My sister was kind enough to tell me that Lightning Strikes was the "hit" so I wouldn't embarrass myself. Good thing she did because I preferred the B-side. Yeah, listening to Crying now, well, it's a cringe-worthy song.

"We Are The World". Got it for Christmas as a wee pup.

EDIT: On vinyl! 😁

reply

The Monkees on vinyl.

reply

An LP of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath by Black Sabbath.

reply

The first one I can remember was the "Mortal Kombat" (1995) soundtrack on cassette
