Chevy Chase is 80 today. What was his funniest movie?

Caddyshack

European Vacation

REALLY?...THAT IS AN UNUSUAL PICK...THAT IS MY SISTER'S FAVORITE OF CHASE'S WORK TOO I BELIEVE.

I've seen two Chase movies: Vacation (funny) and European Vacation (funnier). Part of Christmas Vacation, but turned it off since it wasn't funny to me. He was good on Saturday Night Live.

European Vacation by proxy when I saw it in the theater. And I laughed my head off, too.

Those are some of my favorite scenes. The super polite British are funny, also.

Also that guy that helps Chevy unload his luggage from the car and constantly getting hurt while doing soπŸ‘

reply

Another of my favorites.

Seriously, the British really are that polite.

I love the original "Vacation," but have to go with hownos also...has to be "Caddyshack" for me also.

Gotta be Foul Play with Goldie Hawn. It’s where he honed gags like this:

He got the golden globe nomination for best actor in Foul Play

Fletch and Vacation were legendary.

The first Vacation film.

A close second would be Seems Like Old Times.

WHY HAS NOBODY SAID OH HEAVENLY DOG OR MEMOIRS OF AN INVISIBLE MAN?....WUSSES!

reply

Haven't seen Nothing But Trouble (1991) mentioned either.
