Are you a good cook?

And do you have a "signature" dish?

I'm a very good cook and I make many different cuisines: Mexican, Vietnamese, Italian, Indian, middle Eastern, etc.

I have a few signature dishes and the one I make most often these days is something I made up:

Gnocchi with split, tiny tomatoes, fresh garlic and cilantro tossed with olive oil and a little lemon or lime juice, served at room temperature. Simple and it's a hit every time.

I make a killer noodle, man! I'm the best there is. Nobody pours hot water on a cup of noodles like me.

Ask anyone in this house. I live by myself but still...

reply

No but I will never starve for lack of not being able to cook.

Fairly decent. Though terrible people, both my parents are objectively great cooks, so I have a pretty firm grasp on the basics of good cooking, but I don't have the patience or finances to take it further than that. Cooking as a task isn't hard, but it takes a cool head and good ingredients and tools, plus a lot of space

Signature dishes include meatballs, ice cream, stir fries and coconut ice for kids. Home made ice cream is probably my favourite - and then turning that into fried ice cream is fun.
