He still gets replies so he keep them coming… 🤷‍♂️

I agree with you, you wise good looking feller!

reply

With irrefutable DNA and surveillance evidence, I'm For in extreme cases of cruelty. It all depends on the case.

The death penalty is not deterrent at all to perverted minds, but at least it saves a bit of public money to execute instead of life in prison.

The question then is, is money more important than a vile human's life 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️

A 2003 legislative audit in Kansas found that the estimated cost of a death penalty case was 70% more than the cost of a comparable non-death penalty case. Death penalty case costs were counted through to execution (median cost $1.26 million). Non-death penalty case costs were counted through to the end of incarceration (median cost $740,000).
December 2003 Survey by the Kansas Legislative Post Audit

In Tennessee, death penalty trials cost an average of 48% more than the average cost of trials in which prosecutors seek life imprisonment.
2004 Report from Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury Office of Research

In Maryland death penalty cases cost 3 times more than non-death penalty cases, or $3 million for a single case.
Urban Institute, The Cost of the Death Penalty in Maryland, March 2008

In California the current system costs $137 million per year; it would cost $11.5 million for a system without the death penalty.
California Commission for the Fair Administration of Justice, July 2008

key word seems to be CASES. meaning yes it costs more short term in cases. but longterm housing them vs being put to death would it be cheaper?

reply

I'm for the death penalty in the most extreme premeditated cases. If you're a murderer you forfeit your right to be among us.

My uncle killed his wife in a fit of rage. In his case I think life is sufficient. She was a bitch.

reply

"In his case I think life is sufficient. She was a bitch."

Oh ok, if she was a "bitch" he shouldn't be punished AT ALL. 😎

And I'm against the death penalty, it violates human rights.
Yah, even criminals have rights and are still humans.
But what do I know?...I'm just a "bitch". 🐩

reply

I never said all women are bitches, just my uncle's wife. However, you are a bit of a bitch. But I wouldn't give you the death penalty. 🤣

I'm not giving my uncle a pass either. He's already been released. I would give all murderers at least life.

reply

I didn't say that you said all women are "bitches".

And it's nice that your uncle is already free again.
His judge probably had a great understanding of his 'honour killing'. 👼

reply

I get all my information on this from my mother, he was her youngest brother, so of course she's biased. But my mom painted her as a terrible witch.

And she didn't cheat on him from what I know, she just had a violent temper.

It was a rage killing in the middle of an argument. That type of rage killing doesn't get the death penalty here.

reply

And here you don't get the death penalty at all.
As already said...The death penalty violates human rights.

reply

I see the point that we shouldn't give the power of life and death to the state.

However, some of these more brutal murderers are just a waste of air. Eye for an eye, as they say.

reply

As many others you misunderstand that biblical "eye for an eye".
It doesn't mean that you MUST take an "eye" or a life for a life.
This sentence or rule was intended to curb the escalating blood feuds.
Some people like(d) to take 10 lives or more for one killed person out of revenge.

Wow, like Israel is doing in Gaza right now.

reply

Discuss that shit what you just said with your "American gay subculture".

Tschüß.

reply

American gays are divided on this one. I support Palestine.

reply

No surprise, as you're a true human rights activist. 🤥
Fan of the death penalty.
Fan of the 'poor' Palestinians and their Hamas terrorists.

#Israel's right to self-defence 🇮🇱

reply

Funny how you oppose the death penalty, but believe it's great for Israel to kill 14,000 innocent Palestinian civilians to avenge the death of a thousand Israelis.

Hypocrisy much?

So a murderer must live. A Palestinian child must die. Got it.

reply

"Hypocrisy much?"

Cool how you hypocrite spit out the next nonsense.
Apparently a "Palestinian child" counts more for you than an Israeli child. And you cannot differ between death penalty, revenge and killing in wars.
As you pretend not to know what self-defence is.

#Palestinian Hamas attacked Israel
#Israel's right to self-defence 🇮🇱
#WAR

And that's the last what I'll say here about it.
You can continue to indulge in dead children.

reply

No, I said the life of one Israeli child is not more important than the life of 14 Palestinian children. And this didn't start on October 7th with Hamas. It started over 80 years ago with Zionist terrorists.

From the U.S. Department of Justice:

JEWISH-ZIONIST TERRORISM AND THE ESTABLISHMENT OF ISRAEL

What about Zionist terrorism and the Israeli Defense Forces don't you understand?

reply

"And that's the last what I'll say here about it."
What didn't you understand about that sentence?

Please go to one of Keelai's Hamas propaganda threads. You can discuss it in all details there.

reply

Lady, I'm The Homo Superior. I do as I please.

So the U.S. Department of Justice issues Hamas propaganda now? 🤪

reply

"now"?!
Your stupid provocation is from 1977.
And you only try to distract from your other flaws. So, stop to waste my time you alleged "Homo Superior" (= arrogant idiot).

reply

Miss Thaaang, Zionist terrorists operated before 1948. 1977 was 29 years after the fact. 🤪

reply

With that knowledge you'll conquer the world. 🥱

reply

No, just this thread.

reply

Dream on, wishes are for free.

reply

Conquering the world would be arrogant. This thread is humble.

reply

I'm against it. I understand the arguments for it and used to agree with it. But, I now consider a life in prison to be more just.

It's not a perfect answer. There are many problems with it. But. That's my stance.

reply

Against for the following reasons:

1. innocent people wrongly sentenced and executed is by far the biggest reason

2. costly appeals process. Can take decades before they're actually executed and some die in prison before actual execution.

3. does not act like a deterrent. Crazy people will still commit crimes no matter what.

4. you're stooping to their level by wishing them death. Death penalty is really just fantasy revenge

5. personally, I think life in prison is far worse because you're constantly looking over your shoulder rest of your life wondering if someone will take you out. Just that fear and anticipation. Whereas, death penalty is quick and done with.

I live in Canada and we have not had the death penalty since like the 60s/70s.
