Bad Song, But Great Guitar Solo?

I think soloists are given a huge bump if they're surrounded by great songwriting as well as the other members in the band who add something great/unique.

I can't think of any. I'd imagine saving the best solo for the best songs.

The song really isn't bad, but the lyrics and subject matter -- a TV show lawyer lol -- are kind of goofy.

The guitar solo is absolutely killer. The main guitar riff and bass lines are great too.

EDIT: Zakk Wylde played guitar on the album.

That is kind of goofy now that I think of it.

Great solo, indeed. Is it the keyboards that bug you?

Such a dumb song, but I've always loved the guitar solo and the hybrid fingerpicking during the verse riffs.

A lot of people hate Fred Durst and Limp Bizkit but their Guitarist Wes Borland has always been the best part of their songs.

Any Van Halen song with a good guitar solo would apply.

Van Hagar could be a great example, although I do like "Right Now"

That version of VH did make the only song I actually like "Don't Tell Me"
