Last night I watched M3GAN with my 10 year old daughter.

She chose it and enjoyed it. When I asked if she found it creepy, she just rolled her eyes at me, lol.

reply

It's above average. Could be worse.

reply

It was her choice - I warned her that it was an ok 6/10 film, but she insisted, so….

reply

Did she enjoy it?

I would give it a 8.5/10. I thought it was more a fun movie rather than horror.

reply

Yes, she had a great time watching it and found a lot of it amusing.

reply

That's good news. Sequel on the way, too.

reply

Wow, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that a sequel is in the works. It was a pretty good flick, I enjoyed it well enough…I’ll probably watch the sequel too, I’m a total sucker for this sort of thing🤓

reply

I will give her the good news in the morning.

reply

Does she get that from you, your wife or the internet?

reply

Probably a combination of me, her school friends and the internet, lol.

reply

I guess it's good she can watch creepy movies now, if you're into that, so less censorship movie-wise.

reply

I’m going to introduce her to a whole bunch of films, to see how she gets on.

reply

Sounds fun.

reply

Now watch Chucky with her.

A movie that is actually scary not just a second rate knockoff where they put an attractive young female Zillenial in place of the creepy doll.

No wonder 10 year old doesn't even find it scary. 2020's horror movies suck.

reply

We will get round to it. I’m just introducing her to the genre gradually (we did Alien the other day).

reply

I loved that film, I gave it a 7.5/10

It's not necessarily scary like a horror movie, but the themes and ideas it explores are interesting and socially relevant.

I thought it did a better job than the Child's Play remake, although I liked that one as well.

reply

Yeah, the Child’s Play remake was pretty good. I preferred the evil demon curse of the original but AI gone bonkers is pretty scary and cool too.

reply

It was fun and not too heavy.

reply

Thought it was a good horror comedy flick.

reply

Me too.

reply

I suggest you watch 5 nights at Freddy’s with her next.

reply

I will add it to the list.
