I will go for King's speech. I watched this film almost ten times, every time I was deeply touched by the King George VI.

He was perfect in that role, quite brilliant, he perfectly captured Darcy's odd combination of shyness and dignity, that others interpreted as arrogance. And in doing that, he managed to be completely charming and fanciable, many actors have played the role but none so well! He beat the hell out of Sir Laurence Olivier in direct competition, among many others!

That said, everyone else is raving about "A Single Man", and I haven't see it.
