Han Solo AND Indiana Jones.
A point could be stretched to include Jack Ryan and Deckard from Blade Runner.
The only modern example that is on par with this would be Sylvester Stallone as Rocky and Rambo. Going back a few more years, you could make a case for Clint Eastwood as the iconic "Man With No Name" and Dirty Harry. Going way back, Buster Crabbe was both Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon, easily on par with Han Solo/Indiana Jones in the 1930s, but largely forgotten today. In the '40s and '50s Johnny Weissmuller starred as Jungle Jim in 13 films, after having starred as Tarzan in 12 times in the '30s and '40s. Again, audiences of the time would have felt the same then as we do now about Harrison Ford in his two iconic roles, but Johnny Weissmuller is barely remembered anymore.
