Would he have done better with a strong Swedish accent?

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jean Claude Van Damme spoke with strong European accents.

Dolph is a Swede, and seemed to really Americanize his voice.

He lacks the cadence of a natural speaker which kind of is a giveaway that he's not American.

I think Swedes tend to speak with less of an accent because they have been listening a lot more to English in movies etc as they unlike Germany and France do not dub movies. Not that they sound like native-speakers though. I have heard Scandinavians speak with strong accents, though, so maybe I am wrong.
