Would it Have Killed Them To Make Him a "Sir"?

Imagine kind of living in your younger brother's hoity toity "science guy" shadow. He's respected as an intellectual and as a sex symbol (just kidding)

But hey, you make Ghandi and you get some fucking Oscars and you get fucking Ben Kingsley an Oscar for it and HE gets a "Sir". AND you come out in Jurassic Park and even that Santa Claus on trial movie as the cherries on top

Poor guy died without ever being knighted. I'm sure on his deathbed he cursed that raggedy old bitch Queen

“ He was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 1967, was knighted in 1976, and was granted a life peerage in 1993.”

Do those who have life peerage have title of Lord, or do they just go by Baron? I know next to nothing about titles.

Baron is one title. Others are:
Duke
Marquess
Earl
Viscount
All of the above are peerages and the person is addressed as Lord _________ (insert name of title).

Baronet is also a title, but does not have a peerage. Baronets are addressed “Sir Firstname.”

According to wikipedia, he was styled “Baron Attenborough, of Richmond upon Thames.” It was a life peerage, which means he could not pass it down to an heir (it was only for his lifetime).

And yes, he was Lord Attenborough
