A truly awful person

I'm genuinely sorry that this is the first post here.

That being said, I've never heard anything positive being said about Anthony Daniels. Fans who've met him (including yours truly) say he's arrogant and rude. He was constantly stabbing poor little Kenny Baker in the back, before and namely after Kenny's death. And he comes across as an arrogant and narcissistic prick in every public appearance.

Anthony, you struck gold (no pun intended) when Lucas chose you for C-3PO back in the days. You're known for this single, faceless role. And you're acting like this arrogant, narcissistic, effeminate diva, dressed up in your horrible Las Vegas style gold jacket. Shut the fuck up.

Well said. I commented about him in the only other post here - elitist childhood, it seems?

I almost felt sorry for him. Reading his memoir made me think that he had it worse than anyone else during the making of the first movie. Also, he had an issue with how he initially didn't get credited specifically for the role of C3PO (outside of the press kit). Film critics back then wouldn't even namecheck him.

My 2 cents. While a person of normal proportions, he's probably not your "man's man" but a tiny, scrawny man. Probably very insecure about himself. Being assigned to a double entendre with a small person, Kenny Baker, did not help his self-esteem. He probably dreaded the idea of touring with Baker and further strengthening his association with the person whom he considered inferior and "unworthy" of his company. He perhaps had other ideas about his career. He has very few acting credits under his belt, mostly supporting roles in TV productions, that were not SW-related. He couldn't shake off the "golden rod" image. The only way to earn money probably kept him tied to it. But he drew the line when it came to touring with Kenny Baker. That he could not have been able to bear.

He didn't really need to be a dick about not wanting to tour with Baker, though.
