He'd've made a CRAPPY Indiana Jones

But since that ugly moustachioed mush never got the job and it made the already awesome Harrison Ford into a legend in the movies, it's rather academic to keep going on about it now.

I must be correct and everyone agrees with me, seeing as I've had no replies.

He'd have made a good Indiana Jones, and today he'd be strongly identified with the role. You'd read somewhere that Harrison Ford had been considered for the role, and you'd think "no way! Ford woulda sucked!"

This [deleted] guy sure gets around with his posts.

There are those actors who are good for movies and those who are good for TV. Selleck was good for TV.

Said some clown who clearly didn't watch Magnum. Lot of physical stunts in that show done by the man himself.

reply

Magnum P.I. was great, my family loved that show. I did not know he did many of his own stunts but it makes sense, he appeared very fit.

reply

He wasn't hanging off choppers or nothing, but he did many of his own falls and what not. It's clearly him in the shots, not some oaf with a fake mustache glued to his face.

reply

I can respect that.
I wouldn’t hang off a chopper either!

reply

That dingbat from Hawaii Five O did, Alex O'Loughlin and now he has back problems for life.

reply

Very unfortunate.

reply

There's one episode he did, quite literally running across rooftops and hanging from choppers where I said, "God damn, this is more Captain America than Captain America was." They went all out.

I think Indiana Jones would have been taken more seriously as an action adventure movie had Tom Selleck played Indy. Harrison plays the role like he's a grumpy old man reluctantly going on these adventures.

reply

I agree and Selleck would have been perfect for the role. The concept for Indy was inspired by Clark Gable films of the 1930s. And who in the last 50 years has been more Gable-esque than Tom?

reply

maybe if he shaved the mustache
