Always wanting to be on the cutting edge, William Shatner is going beyond just doing photo ops with fans in Chicago. The iconic Star Trek actor has partnered with tech company MassPersona to offer scanned 3D printed figurines. For $2,250 you can step into a booth with Mr. Shatner for a 360 scan which will result in a special unique 9″ printed figurine. Each will come complete with an authentic digital signature and identifier code along with a 3D GIF of the scan, and a short video of the experience. Fans will also get some additional miniature ﬁgurines of Mr. Shatner, and a personal note on the ﬁgurine.

I tried to look up the SNL skit with Shatner's "Colossal waste of time" speech on YouTube. Unfortunately, it was not available.

I love Trek, but people who attend shows are a different breed.
