He was there on the 24th of April 2012?

I think the UK way of writing dates is Year, Month, Day

I know that the correct way, also used in UK, is
day month year.

Does not take Einstein.

There is no standard universal way to write dates.
It should be YYYY-MM-DD ... so that when you have these strings on a text file you can sort on them and it works. Apparently it may not take Einstein, but it does take someone more throughtful than yourself.

I asked where is an international standard to write dates backwards.
THE international standard is day, month, year. Not the opposite.
