To be honest - if "Married... with children" wouldnt have Christina Applegate, I wouldnt care about the whole series at all.

Same for "Sabrina, the teenage witch" without Melissa Joan Hart, and for "Xena: Warrior Princess" without Renee O'Connor.

"Lexx" massively suffered from the loss of Eva Habermann. It didnt help they replaced her with a person of completely opposite features (natural beauty of amazing sex appeal vs complete plasticbunny with, sorry, none) .. then again Lexx was only really good in the first four movies, after that it went a lot less interesting.

And I do not think ANYONE could possibly replace Zooey Deschanel in "Hitchhickers Guide". She was basically born for the part.

Or "Clueless" without Alicia Silverstone.

This is a joke right? First off, those other girls you mentioned were the stars of the show, Kelly was never the star, in fact, had it not been for horny men and teenage boys like me no one would have cared one bit about Kelly. She really was never funny and in the later seasons when she started cutting off all her hair and dressing like the Partridge Boy she wasn't even fun to look at and she just became downright annoying.

Face facts, there is only one reason Christina was ever on the show and it wasn't because of her great acting or comedic timing. If Christina doesn't come back that gives me hope this might be good.

Been watching reruns shown two at a time on local TV station and the one thing that pops in my mind often is that they could never, never, ever, ever make it today. It is so sexist by today's standards it will either be drummed off the air by women's groups or it will be a shadow of the original series. If you haven't seen it lately check it out and see if you don't agree.
