Sam Beckett or Jonathan Archer?

Which character do you like better?

reply

I loathed Quantum Leap for the completely unjustified praise it got for “science fiction” so I have to go with Archer.

reply

Wait a minute. It's not sci-fi?

reply

Not in my opinion. In the two dozen or so episodes I watched the only sci-fi was the fact that he time traveled. Once he got anywhere, it was just a very basic everyday non-science story. Fiction yes, but nothing that does not occur every day somewhere.

QUANTUM LEAP ALL DAY,EVERYDAY.

In my point of view, Jonathan Archer is kind of a toss-up. Early in Enterprise he acts like a young space cadet fresh out of the academy, acting somewhat typically younger than what his age would suggest. I do, however, like his attitude being social with the rest of the crew, telling Malcolm, his chief of security, that he realized on their long missions the crew would pretty much be a family.

Ironically, Sam Beckett is pretty hapless as well though he seems to be more confident and somewhat less vulnerable than his other Bakula character.

Out of Star Trek bias, Archer.

Sam Beckett is way better. He played Archer far too dry. If he as Archer was more like he is on NCIS New Orleans, that would have been a lot better.

reply

Sam. I liked Archer, but he was the only character on Enterprise I could stand so I quit watching after the first season.

Which one would win in a fight?

reply

Blakula.

Sam Beckett

reply

Captain Archer, definitely.
