Question for those who think he's innocent.

You get a call from your daughter and she says: "dad, Bill Cosby offered me Quaaludes and also offered to have sex with me. Should I do it? " Would you tell her that she is free to make the decision if she wants to?

My guess is that every good parent would say "no".

reply

Simply being drunk or stoned is not giving consent to being raped.

reply

I agree.

reply

I wonder why so many think it is ok? Victim blaming?

reply

It's strange. They want to blame the women for taking the Quaaludes, but think Cosby is innocent for providing them. I mean, if the sex was consensual, why drug them?

reply

Are you saying that a woman has absolutely no responsibility for what she first asks for then consumes of her own free will? Secondly, Constand never accused Cosby of rape and there was much reason to believe that she made the whole thing up..

reply

Common sense says that a person should never get so intoxicated that they lose awareness of their surroundings.

However, as I stated "Simply being drunk or stoned is not giving consent to being raped." Period. Legally, it's rape if you take advantadge of someone who is intoxicated to the point that they lost awareness of their surroundings. There is no element of consent.

What is it about this that people fail to understand? are they that stupid?

reply

A good parent would also tell me not to do a fraction of the things I've done in my life, like getting a tattoo. This is a stupid question.

reply

So you admit then Bill Cosby was in the wrong?

reply

You actually think getting a tattoo is wrong?

I didn't admit anything about Cosby.
Only think I admitted is that using parental approval to determine "wrongeness" is a stupid metric.

reply

I am going to tell my daughter that she should no better than to take drugs from any man that she does not know.. The bottom line is that those of his accusers were grown women who made the decision to take the drugs that he offered to them.. What responsibility do they have when they take drugs from a man which they asked for?

reply

3 of the girls were underage.

reply

Your problem is that you keep assuming that all of these women were telling the truth, even though there is ample evidence that many of them were in fact lying:

reply

60 women are liars? Even if the ones who did take him to court were lying, what about all the others?

reply

The ones put on the stand in the Constand trial certainly were liars including Constand.. Not even Castor believed her story that is why he made the deal with Cosby in the first place. Most of the cases against Cosby go back 40+ years with no one ever having filed a police report. They only ever came forward after Gloria Allred's attempt to extort $100 million from Cosby. So that should tell you something about their claims right there. Can you say "Money Grab.."

reply

And when Bill Cosby said on his deposition that he gave them Quaaludes for the purpose to have sex with them (which is illegal)?

reply

It was also illegal at one time to give women marijuana with the purposes of having sex with them.. But that does not automatically mean that those women were being raped. Cosby was also asked did he ever slip anything to these women without their knowledge and he answered no.. Many of his accusers admitted to asking for the quaaludes that he gave to them.. So ultimately the question comes down to do you believe that any of these women were raped.

reply

Libs just like to keep repeating that he "gave" the women drugs, cause it sounds like he "gave them drugs without their knowledge".

Instead of the truth, that the women wanted to get high and then have sex.

reply

Bingo..
