Highly familiar. Wasn't everybody? A Knight's Tale was a big movie.
The Patriot was also a big film and his role in it was substantial.
I knew him from a couple of movies such as The Patriot.

shareI sure was familiar with him! 10 Things I Hate About You was a great teen film and played on TV constantly. Then I saw him in A Knights Tale which is a movie I still watch from time to time. And of course he was in the Patriot, which was a huge film back in the day!
An early film he did, which I didnt see until after Dark Knight, was a film called "Two Hands" its a crime movie in australia where Heath Ledger plays a small time boxer and a crook doing oddjobs, but a courier job he does for them goes wrong and he owes them money. It also has a supernatural element in the story and I wont spoil it, but it was a really good film and I enjoyed it!

Being Australian, I was very familiar with him since his early TV work and breakthrough film role in Two Hands. It was a big deal here when he started getting work in American films.
