I can't believe how young she was on Married with Children

Caught a rerun of some episode from 1990 today, thought she was in her late 40's there, looked her up, and she was only 36?!..

I was mainly noting the condition of her skin. 36 should look a lot more youthful.

I mean, what she should really be looking like is like she is way too young to have kids that age already, but you never doubted that she was plenty old enough to be their mother, did you?

But considering she was only 32 when the show started, she really was.

You're right about the hairdo being a factor. Some people refer to this as retrospective aging.

Well, I thought she was like 48-49, at least. There SHOULD be a visible difference between 36 and that.

What a ridiculous reply, really - it's like you've never seen a normal-looking 36y.o. woman.

At the start of the show Peggy was 33-34. By the end she only would have been 43.

That thinking she was in her late 40's at any point during the show, especially in an early season, was pretty absurd.

She looked exactly her age in the 1990s (as someone in her thirties), so I don't understand how anyone could have thought otherwise.

I think it was the trashy look of her character. I didn't think she was attractive until I saw her outside the show.
