I like Mike

He was a great boxer and champion. He presents himself well. He has a very pleasant speaking voice.

He is imperfect like all of us. I have always liked him.

He's a shithead, an asshole and an overrated boxer. His punching power is exaggerated because it vs tomato cans who had both glass jaws and awful defense. I dont think he ever hurt Holyfield once and that's why he broke down into a psycho and bit his ear off. He was totally outmatched and outclassed, and only a complete scumbag would resort to that instead.

He fought some good fighters who had good defense before he lost his first fight. Michael Spinks, Trevor Berbick, Mitch Green. Larry Holmes although he was past his prime. All were good fighters, not "tomato cans".

Mike's defense was excellent. Nearly impregnable. Cus D'Amato realized his potential when Mike was in his teens and the great trainer worked with him on all aspects of boxing (including defense). Mike's work ethic was legendary.

As for the rest? Could you take him in a boxing match? Would you call him those names in person away from an anonymous chat board? LOL

You are either trolling or you know nothing about boxing.

I like Mike.

Yikes, first you display a complete lack of reading comprehension, and then you resort to how he can beat me, another tomato can. No one said anything about Tysons defense you dunce. Literally Mick from Rocky III was supposed to be Cus D'Amato, protecting Rock from real opponents just like Cus did with Tyson who just fought hasbeens and never will bes. Then once the stakes were raised Tyson folded like a cheap accordion. He was completely outclassed by people like Holyfield, and Lennox Lewis, and those men were classy, not ghetto trash like Tyson.

"ghetto trash"?

Who are you? Emily Post?

Mike Tyson peaked in his 20's. He was past his prime when he fought Holyfield and Lewis. They were a year or two older than Mike but he peaked early. Mike just wasn't the fighter at 30-35 that he was when he was 20-27. In ring years he was older than them.

Had he fought them in his prime? We can only speculate. A peak Tyson was a formidable opponent. One of the best ever.

"Cus D'Amato, protecting Rock from real opponents..."

Tyson won his first 19 professional fights by knockout, 12 of them in the first round. Claiming his first belt at 20 years, 4 months, and 22 days old, Mike Tyson holds the record as the youngest boxer ever to win a heavyweight title.

Who was Cus protecting him from?
