Red hair on a girl = hot. Red hair on a guy = not....double standards??

Well just as not ALL redheaded girls are hot, not ALL redheaded guys are UN-HOT (if you know what I mean). Robert Redford for example was pretty handsome in his day.

But why is it a stigma for guys but not for girls....can anyone actually give an answer?

No one has an proper answer because red hair on a guy ISN'T really a stigma. Look at the actor who played Ron Weasley and his fangirl following for one example. Some people find redheads unattractive (boys and girls), some don't. I don't think there's a general, one-sided opinion.

I have heard people call men with red hair unattractive. I remember people saying things like "Why would those women go out with him he is ginger?" and on a TV programme the other day when a couple where looking for a surrogate father they said "No smokers or red headed men".

I'm not saying everybody feels like this but it does go on and its unfair. People should question it more often.

Well I CAN'T agree...My husband's a red head and he's definitely yummy. Although in the looks department we couldn't be more different. I'm a dark haired Brasilian-Puerto Rican and he's a red-head freckled beautiful Irish/German man. But damn he is delicious ;)

I don't think red-haired guys are un-SEXY...and didn't know such a double standard existed.
It's a matter of personal preference, I believe - and I personally adore red hair. It's one of the reasons I like Lauren so much.But I also often find red-haired men cool and sexy, it really depends of their other features as well, after all. But my first ever crush was a red-haired guy :)))
