Actually, there's a lot of common points between Darth Vader and Caitlyn.

- Both went through extreme surgery in their bodies.
- Both lost some lower extremities once the surgery was done.
- Both decided to change their name after it.
- Both were heavily criticized and suffered hate speech after going through surgery and changing their name.
- After surgery, both got a scary appearance.

I would speculate that if there was an afterlife, there would be NO concept of gender at all. Makes no sense. We live our entire corporeal lives contained in a bag of meat and water. If our "souls" were to survive after our bodies die, I don't see why we would be contained in a body at all. No body, no gender.
