Maybe because Davis Bowie was a vastly more commercially and critically successful singer, with a far bigger cultural impact.

Bowie had his moments, like being arrested for his ''nazi phase'' in the 70's, doing nazi salutes in Germany whilst riding in a WW2 Mercedes, etc
