One of my all time favorite shows and Ed was fantastic.

So sad how it ended for him.

He was really underappreciated.

He was a guest star in one of the best Dick van Dyke episodes.
He and his wife were new neighbors and played poker with the Petries and the Helpers. Unfortunately Rob's deck of magic cards (marked cards) found their way into the game and Ed Platt's character lost BIG time. Very funny episode. Ed Platt was great in it.

Platt was excellent in every film and tv show he appeared in. He also had a very pleasing, deep voice.

Yes, he studied to become an opera singer.
