She is a bad actress

I'm watching That 70s Show and she is the weakest thing on it. She can't act! Her timing is terrible. She never says or does anything remotely funny.

She and Eric also have zero chemistry, and she is twice his size.

The actress who played Laurie was hilarious. I just read that she died years ago. That's a shame...she was really good.

She played the role well. If you thought she wasn't funny and had bad timing, try to remember that her character was a feminist tomboy. It makes sense that some things she did would come off slightly awkward and I'm sure that a lot of it was deliberate. Donna and Eric had great chemistry and complimented each others' personalities. I don't know you see her being twice his size, in fact they seem to be almost exactly the same height, but of course Eric is super skinny while Donna has some meat on her bones. It's supposed to be funny that Eric was in love with a girl who could literally beat him up.

I don't think it was the character because she is terrible in everything else I've seen her in. She ruins every scene she's in on OITNB.

Her timing is ridiculously bad. Her delivery would be considered amateurish in high school theatre.

She's so bad it almost makes me angry when she's on, lol.

I can see why she might be considered attractive so I have to assume that's where her popularity comes from (although I personally think she's average at best and actually kind of. ..ape-like, but I get it that everyone has different ideas of what's attractive).

Everyone else on the show is great.

Yup, she's horrible alright. She almost ruined That 70s Show.

I came, I saw, I laughed, I left.

I loved her in the That 70s show, I thought the episode where she was dumped by Casey in front of her Father and Eric's parents she did a great job.

reply

Exactly. She steals the scene by destroying it. Ugh, please kill this sasquatch off. Thank you.

reply

Uh, no. She makes every scene in Orange work.

See you next Tuesday! ! Your too dumb to realize what i mean by this. .. your a loser

I didn't think this until I watched season 3. I grew up watching That '70s Show and loved her as Donna (I love the entire cast of that show, honestly), and I thought she was great in OITNB until I started watching season 3. I don't know if she was just off or wasn't feeling it or what was going on, but she had awful delivery in a handful of scenes and was just totally unbelievable. I couldn't tell if maybe she was bored with her character trajectory and just wasn't into it or what, but I did think her acting this past season was weak in comparison to the first two seasons.
