Michelle Rodriguez is a *beep* and has lost a fan

Just read about Tomboy, and am beyond insulted. This pisses me off to no end and is an insult to transgendered people everywhere. Michelle Rodriqguez has lost a fan in me, and I will never watch anything by that production company or by director Walter Hill EVER AGAIN. Trans people are fighting for their rights, and these fools make a mockery of us? Hollywood can go *beep* itself. So can this *beep* *beep*

You will probably get a lot of negative comments to your post here, because IMDB isn't exactly known for it's intelligent users.

That being said, I agree with you about the movie Tomboy, it's just another blatant exploitation of transgender issues to be used as a sensationalistic plot device.

The story has also largely been stolen from The Skin I Live In, so not only have they ripped the story off, which is lazy and typical of Hollywood, it will fail due to the massive plot holes I can see already appearing. One major plot hole being you can't change a man into a woman over night, it takes years of hormones, surgery, voice training etc. So how can Rodriqguez be changed into a female so convincingly? It's like people think you can just have one operation and Ta-Da you're now a woman lol.

And are we supposed to believe she would continue to take female hormones after having been forced into a sex change? The story is dumb and not at all feasible.

Rodriqguez can go suck it, what a stupid pointless movie and will only serve to incite more hate against trans people and further mock what is actually a serious medical condition.

No one cares about trannies. Ha

I assure you that I am going to watch this movie. And I can also assure you that it will not make me think any more, or any less, positively nor negatively, about the Trans-Gender population. I will be seeing it because hopefully it is a good action movie starring one of my favorite actresses. That is all.

Oh jeez... behaviour like this is exactly whats not helping you or your rights. Its like car parking places just for women. Women think thats a victory? Bravo, now you are treated like disabled people.

Stop whining, that will help you and your kind most. You never will be treated equally as long as you fight for being handled with care.

Tranny rights should be at the bottom of the next presidents to-do list.

If you look close enough, every single Hollywood movie is sensationalistic and puts certain indiciduals, groups, ethnicies etc into bad light. That's how movies work. It's not pretty. However, I am 100% sure you have enjoyed many movies in your life withot even noticing that the movie did unjust to others.

What if MRod's character were born a transgendered male and had previously taken hormones and had surgery to develop a male body? I'm asking because I honestly don't know. Would the rogue surgeon be able to make his body appear feminine quicker by sedating him for an extended period and simply denying his hormones? I've wondered if that could be the twist. It seems like the story wouldn't be as impossible if that were the case.
