Simply THE best

Tina was a force of nature.
She will be sorely missed.

So many amazing songs.

I particularly love What's Love Got to Do With It and the underrated Private Dancer, along with classics like Nutbush City Limits and River Deep, Mountain High.

She had so many.
But the thing is, with her voice and style and energy, she could sing anything and make it special.

I'm gutted I never saw her live. I think my mother may have done so, not so long ago (presumably just before, or maybe even whilst, Tina was ill). You're right; she had so many great songs, and she did so many great covers, but with someone so iconic and with such an extensive discography, I tend to have my personal *very* favourite songs.

Didn't know Private Dancer was underrated... I thought it was one of her best known songs. RIP, anyway.

It was originally written by Mark Knopfler (which is strange considering when the song's intrinsic POV, but kudos to him for those brilliant lyrics), and apparently he was not happy with the Jeff Beck guitar solo.

I love to see her dancing in her high heels singing 'Shame Shame Shame' with a host of go-go girls. And 'I Don't Want To Lose You' is beautifully sung as only she could have sung it. RIP.
