Hollywood has hundreds of thousands of actors, millions more want-to-bes.
That ANYONE lands a good paying gig and becomes famous is really against all odds.
He has big bug eyes so there's a clue.

And if your big role was as iconic as Steve Urkel, it will be hard to hit it big again. Only a lucky few manage that.
i always think, if you had success on a project that came out in the 80's and never had success like that ever again it doesn't matter because the 80's is the only decade that really matters.

sharetrue, but i figured i would include him as successful in the 80's since the show started in '89 and spun off from an 80's. i actually feel 75-95 is probably the best time to be alive and to have been successful. it's a downward slope after that.

I don't think he's pathetic. That's a little harsh and perhaps ignorant to say. He probably makes a decent living from Family Matters royalties. Maybe he doesn't feel the need to take on many roles. He left his mark on popular culture history. If that was your goal and you tried for it your whole life and never made it as an actor, that might be considered pathetic.
