would people stop celebrating this rapist already?

I have never been picked to be on a jury because my career is in psych and I have worked in prisons. I'm actually a very logical and objective person and would never allow myself to be biased. However, it sounds like I would be biased due to my background.

Have a felony, etc means you may have criminal thinking. So, you will side with the criminals. Meanwhile, I know a horde of criminals and for whatever bizarre reason, they are the first to call the cops on someone and want max punishment, lol.

Sentences are meant to be just, meaning to serve justice. I have no record and really hate crime. However, under the right conditions, I might punch someone in the face. I would be wrong to give me a standard sentence. It would ruin my life. Also, I would punch someone for doing something threatening. That would be illegal but a mitigating circumstance. That word means something that reduced the intent to do wrong. Aggravating circumstance means I intended to do wrong.

So, a guy is saying shit to my girlfriend and I smack him, that's mitigating circumstance. I don't have a history of crime and he was in her face. I don't have the right to hit him, but a normal person might. That's mitigating stuff.

If I'm in the supermarket and an old lady cuts in front of me, and I hit her, that's aggravating. I should know better than to hit an old lady. She did something rude, not threatening. I should also know that I could severely injure her, but I didn't care.

Whatever the case, since I have no record and have a long history of being a public servant, I shouldn't get much of a sentence. It was a weird situation and being too hard on me will ruin my life. It's not just to ruin a life for an unusual crime.

As an example, I have a loved one that got into an accident while mildly intoxicated. She injured her back, started not being able to sleep, started hallucinating from lack of sleep, bought drugs to kill the pain, then got in a car, got confused and hit a car causing...
