shareWell, objectively, yeah it's up there with Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen, etc. But personally, I'm not SUCH a big fan.

I think their peak was Number of the Beast. Clive Burr was so solid and powerful (Nicko's great but he doesn't have the same feel.) and Bruce's singing style changed and in my opinion, not for the better.

all there song sound the same.
All of their songs are in the same style of music, true, but they don't sound identical to me. And I'm not even Asian.

thanks to youtube you can listen to bands entire catalogues for free
so i listen to all there albums and one song stand out - run for hills. i can not remember any of there other songs which is bad sign. it means there writing suck and they can not write good song
if you want good heavy metal from this era then listen to metallica, megadeth, acdc, gnr. better writing in this musics.
I do listen to those other bands. I don't enjoy them quite as much as Maiden although Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets Metallica era comes very close.
shareyes burton metallica is amazing. master of puppet have sanitarium and orion - amazing songs. these song are special rock songs. 100 year from now people will listen to this type of musics in amazment.
i do not think this will happen with iron maidens but metallica is special rock that go deeper than simply music. if have magic quality in non-filler songs.
