There is no better/worse in music. It's all subjective. Not quantitative.
But the answer is SUPERTRAMP for the win!

Supertramp

ELO, I was never the biggest fan of Supertramp TBH

This vote is for SUPERTRAMP, whose best years (1974-83) lasted much longer than E.L.O.'s (1976-79).

Also, SUPERTRAMP featured the contrast of two (Roger Hodgson and Rick Davies) very different but both outstanding vocalists/songwriters. E.L.O. featured just one (Jeff Lynne).

That being said, it would be very hard for me to choose between my favorite SUPERTRAMP album (1975's Crisis? What Crisis?) and my favorite E.L.O. album (1977's Out of the Blue), two very different flawless masterpieces.
