I don't think he was perfect in his presidency. The way he handled Libya and Syria was atrocious and his administration paved way for ISIS.
But he was the best choice at the time. I wouldn't have wanted the warmonger McCain to have become president. The world would most probably have seen WWIII already.
No, he certainly was not perfect.. but he was a "statesman", and this cannot be denied. We could use a responsible leader now. And that also cannot be denied. He wore the office on his chest and shoulders.

shareIt was a bit of an exaggeration. The point is that McCain was a neocon warmonger of the likes of W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Henry Kissinger, and had he won in 2008, we would most likely have seen war with Russia already and probably China too. While Obama was also a warmonger, he was the better candidate who won the presidency.
