I quit because they allowed someone to send a disgusting pornographic image to my page. Even worse, after I reported it the Facebook admins did absolutely nothing about it. They guy who did it, assuming it's a guy, his account is still there and he's apparently free to do the same things to others. Seems like a stupid way to run a site.
shareYou are wasting your time asking people to quit Facebook. Most FB users are brain dead zombies who have had everything thrown at them but will not quit no matter what. My sister is one of those people. She gets sent tons of evil NSFL crap, gets outraged/shocked/traumatized about it and then tries to share her outrage/shock/trauma with me, even though I'm not on FB. It just never dawns on her that when a site gets that bad, it's time to quit. She just accepts these evil videos that keep getting sent to her as a fact of life and keeps using the platform.

shareWell if quitting is what you wanted to do that's fine, however you could have just as easily blocked that person then you wouldn't have to worry about getting any more images/messages from them that you're not interested in.
Can't really blame facebook because there's multiple security options to make sure your account is 100% comfortable to all users. You can make sending messages to your inbox strictly friends only.
You can turn off messages altogether to anyone not on your friend list. Make all your posts to friends only or even just for yourself to view. Like I said, there are all sorts of ways to deal with stuff like that.
Not true, actually. If you make a business page anyone can post or send you messages on it. There was no way to block it.

Actually, no. Even deleting is not final. One can log back in again and it all comes back, like turning on the lights of a Xmas tree.
But without the help of Facebook to enforce things, problems like this are going to crop up again and again. Last thing I need is for my customers to be turned off to my products by the disgusting imagery that weirdoes post there. If Facebook won't police their site there's no good reason for anyone to have anything to do with it.
