Vogue is under social-media fire for ‘disrespectful’ Kamala Harris cover

Harris was revealed to be the magazine’s February 2021 cover star Saturday night when two separate images were leaked by the Twitter account Models Daily. In one photo, Harris is pictured wearing a formal powder blue Michael Kors Collection suit. In the other, she wears a dark Donald Deal blazer, jeans and Converse Chuck Taylors.

The latter image has come under fire for its lighting, backdrop and wardrobe direction. It was initially believed to be fake until Vogue confirmed both covers in a tweet Sunday morning.

A lot of people seem to think the pink background is ugly. And a few said her sneakers make the picture look like a test shot.

Nothing offended here except certain readers' sense of aesthetics.

The pink background is ugly, her poses are awkward, and the black suit is really unflattering.

Unflattering isn't the same as disrespectful, though.

Nah, if they wanted to be disrespectful, they would have shown her in a slutty, Dominatrix costume, smoking weed and laughing while money rains down around her, and she's whipping black slaves on her great-grandfather's ancestral plantation in Jamaica, with a headline underneath saying "Just like Great-Grandpa used to do!" In the background, they'd show a Chinese man with a hammer and sickle on his suit, hanging onto the leash around her neck, and he has a thought bubble saying "That's a good little bitch. Dance for me, c----!"

How does anyone disrespect a fucking cunt that slept her way to the top? I would think fucking Willie Brown to get ahead pretty much made it impossible to disrespect her anymore than she disrespected herself.
