after i listened to the bbc radio dramatization being most common with this original boris karloff 1930s classic, that plot was hardly recognisable, but i've heard or seen parts about the 1992 movie that they say stay more true to the original story, and i recognised parts then from that movie rather, unfortunately the british voices are so loudly, screaming, and over the top it actually hurts your head listening to, every radio production i've heard from different outlets does not reach the same quality as cbs "the twilight zone radio dramas", and they (other outlets) are most always dragged out on two or several cd's while twilight zone neatly packs in an amazing work on a reasonable running time fit on one single cd. funny how right away you heard the credit as frankenstein's monster on an audio piece since you only relate it to grunting. when i was a kid just a still photo of this monster (karloff) in black and white used to scare and freak me out, his role as "the mummy" was also something else, so mystical. of all the classic monsters i find "the wolf man" (aka the werewolf) the most innocent one since he had no control at all over what happened to him. the line "you'll see me soon again or never" was unintentionally funny i found since it reminds of one of the final rodney dangerfield jokes. no matter what frankenstein version, every time i check it out now i keep being reminded of the family guy spoof "you shouldn't have made a guy".

I am in the minority but I would put Ghost above Son. Frankenstein and the Bride of Frankenstein are the best though.
